Seasonal Support : Spring

Supporting Your Body from Winter to Spring

As winter fades and spring begins to stretch open, our bodies often feel the shift — stiffer mornings, scattered energy, and a pull to get moving… but not quite yet at full speed. This is a time to reawaken gently, without rushing.

Start with breath-led movement to reconnect and energise. Two Pilates favourites for this season: spine curls to mobilise the spine and pelvis, and standing arm openings to invite breath and flow into the chest and shoulders. Follow with a simple hip flexor stretch, either standing or kneeling, to undo the sitting and curling of winter.

This transition is a great time to focus on ease, not effort. Let your practice meet you where you are.
